Reflection
For this project, we made two types of tickets for a concert, and calculated how many of each ticket must be sold in order to break even. Then, we graphed the equations, and illustrated a flyer telling everyone to come to our concert. I learned how to take a real life situation and turn it into something that can be solved mathematically. I found it interesting that you can take any situation and turn it into an equation. 1 begun with a concert, and ended with an accurate graph. My question is... do some people have jobs where they actually calculate these sort of things for other people? I can connect this to many theater situation. Whether it is a movie, play, or concert, there is a certain amount of money that the company must make in order to break even or make a profit.
